Welcome to the Ranch!
Hello from the Quarter Moon, home to two donkey lovers and lots of long ears. Let us share our story with you. We fell in love with these wonderful little critters the first time we saw them. Like so many others, we had heard that donkeys were stubborn, ornery, and kicked. Boy, were we surprised! When we were introduced to our first miniature donkey who insisted she be petted and would not let us out of her sight, we were stricken with this wonderful disease for which there is no cure- miniature donkey fever. Little did we know that it would worsen. The personality of the miniature donkey is so affectionate, lovable, and docile that it has taught two ex-city dwellers caught up in the rush of life how to relax, say "IT CAN WAIT", and enjoy our days in the sun. The prescription for donkey fever is daily doses of rear end rubs, foal kisses, cuddling, stimulating conversations, and simply sharing life's daily ups and downs with an animal whose greatest pleasure is just being near you. You never own a miniature donkey, They own You.
Ranch Philosophy
Our ranch philosophy is simple. We breed quality jennets to outstanding jacks. We smother our foals with love and attention. Finally, we find a loving home for each of our donkeys. This isn't a business to us, it's a love affair! When we began breeding miniature donkeys, Pete and I made the commitment to breed quality as we built quantity. It has paid off tenfold.
We take pride that our breeding program has produced donkeys that are exceptional in conformation and color. Our donkeys and their progeny are both champions in the show ring and in the pasture. But what truly makes us happy is our reputation for producing an overwhelmingly affectionate animal. To us, that's what it is all about. We want everyone to experience the warm and gentle personality of the miniature donkey.
