Deacon's sire is Quarter Moon Barney, the herdsire around which our breeding program was begun in 1992. Barney has sired NMDA and European champions, first place halter donkeys and some of the finest breeding stock to be found. We are happy to have this outstanding son to continue the tradition and make his own name both in the show ring and in the breeding pasture. Deacon is structurally correct and is catching the eye of judges in the show ring where he is always in the ribbons. Deacon's first foals began arriving in the spring of 2003 and wow....what an impact he's making in our breeding program. He's stamping his foals with his phenotype and docile nature. They have his great topline, straight legs, and his perfect tracking. Tracking means that all four feet point forward and his hind legs are in perfect alignment with his front legs. We're pleased with this boy and the mark he's making as one of the top herd sires in the country.
